Lately, I've been hearing more and more discussions about the best skincare routine. Some argue that less is more, while others indulge in multi-step rituals and claim that this is the only way to achieve the skin condition of your dreams. Today, I want to share my experience as an aesthetician and founder of EDÉN - what really works and what is just a nice detail.
Are there really a lot of steps needed to achieve beautiful skin?
For a long time, the Korean approach has dominated - rituals of ten or more steps, which often become more of a burden than a pleasure. Yes, there are some people for whom such long rituals give them a special pleasure, become a meditation, a time for themselves. But not every skin, and even less so not every lifestyle, requires such intensive care.
In my experience, the secret to beautiful skin is not in a lot of products or steps. It's in the quality and regularity of well-chosen, effective products. I'm convinced that the products that do the most good for your skin are those that you use conscientiously every day, not those that sit on the shelf because "I don't have time for that today".
When is it worth taking more steps?
Sometimes your skin may need extra attention - for example, if you are experiencing breakouts, dryness or want to enhance the anti-ageing effect. In these cases, complementary products such as an acid serum (EDÉN Lactic Acid Serum) can be a great addition. But even then, I don't recommend overloading the skin too much - less is better, but more precise and regular.
So what's better - a minimalist or a multi-stage routine? The answer depends on your personality, your lifestyle and, most importantly, your skin needs. However, in my experience, less is often more, especially when it comes to long-term results.
Let yourself enjoy your beauty routine without unnecessary stress. After all, skincare should be a pleasure, not a duty.
With love,
Indre, Founder of EDÉN.
